AT 12,20; "PUDDING CHASE" |
| |
A hastily produced and vaguely festive game which involves trying to place your pixel (coin) inside the UDG (pudding) by guestimating how many pixels there are horizontally and vertically between the two. Excited? Read the review for more along the same lines.

AT 11,8; "THE DISPLAY FILE OF SISYPHUS" |
| |

Having abandoned UZXSGD R Tape submitted this entry as a collection of .tif scans of his hand-written ASM to Decimal conversion notes. What a git!

AT 11,4; "INSIDE THE BOX" |
| |

R Tape submitted this in response to my request for programs to test Andrew Green's UZXSGD. What a nice chap!

AT 9,17; "CRAP, TAPIR, SLIPPERS" |
| |

R Tape has long been on a mission to prove that games written in BASIC can be half-decent. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that doesn't sound like the kind of thing we're interested in here, does it?

AT 9,8; "WILD WEST SPECDRAW!" |
| |
You know the score; "This town ain't big enough for the both of us," a clock strikes high noon and two cowboys stand at opposite ends of a dusty road with twitching fingers.
If that sort of thing appeals to you (or even if it doesn't) then prepare to be underwhelmed.

| |
AT 7,30; "SOKOMATH!" |
| |
R Tapes attempts to "combine an easy & fun game like Sokoban with some complicated mathematics, the idea being that both become more fun as a consequence." My money is on this hypothesis being wrong!

AT 5,25; "ARTY PANTS" |
| |
Basically Etch-a-Sketch with the addition of ZX Spectrum Attribute Colours. A beautifully simple idea implemented in a cack-handed manner!

AT 5,25; "TOUCH THE RING" |
| |
"Aye it's great isn't it. I can picture a few spin offs of this (or cracks), one as a Lord of the Rings game called 'Touch the Ring', where you have to wear the ring while the lord of darkness looks the other way." - R Tape on the Kick The Ballboy review from last year's CSSCGC.

AT 3,1; "THE BLIND SPRITEMAKER" |
| |
 Is R Tape playing God with unethical scientific experiments on UDGs involving symmetry and mutation, or is it art? Hmmmmm. U: 3 | B: 1 | I: 7 | C: 3 | Overall: 4 |
|
| |
AT 2,17; "PIXBIT AND THE MAZE OF DEADLY MONSTERS" |
| |
 If you think a single pixel falling through a maze doesn't sound very interesting, you'd be wrong. Prepare to get hooked! U: 5 | B: 2 | I: 5 | C: 4 | Overall: 4 |

| |
AT 1,17; "ANOTHER DRINK, REVEREND?" |
| |
If you thought a fast paced horizontal shooter couldn't be done in BASIC - you were wrong. If you dared to dream it was possible, but feared it would be crap, you were right!

AT 1,17; "THE FOREST OF DOOM" |
| |
An amazing storyline involving dwarf high lords, forests (of doom!) and magic tokens... is clearly where the budget of this entry was focussed!
